Megan Archer, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, was making a short film of her apartment on the July 20 with a home video camera. When watching the film she realized that in the background of one of the shots her Japanese carp were visible, and were clearly swimming backwards. This phenomenon continued for four and a quarter minutes, after which time they immediately began to swim forwards again.

Archer says that when she noticed the phenomenon, she immediately went to check that the fish were OK. She says the fish did not seem to be agitated in any way. Like you could tell.

Careful examination of the film and camera does not show any evidence of tampering.
