Two campers at a remote campsite near Carey ID reported what appeared to be the sudden disappearance of both the moon and stars from the night sky. One of the campers reports "It was like somebody flipped a switch and bang! out went the lights. It was just that sudden. Then maybe two hours later they just all came back. I’ve never seen anything like it and I’ve been camping for years.”
Meteorological investigation at this time has turned up no evidence of sudden heavy cloud cover; investigation is ongoing. No other witnesses have been identified to corroborate the allegation at this time.
