Summary
Man gains 30 years in his sleep.

The Herald reports that when Mr. Reginald Davies of Sydney, Australia, a 40-year-old former dockworker, woke up on the morning of March 18, he had aged 30 years literally overnight.  The photograph of Mr. Davies does indeed suggest a gentleman in his 70s, and his passport confirms that he was born in 1963. Mr. Davies has not attempted to explain his condition; he even goes as far as to describe it as being ‘just one of those things’.

Perhaps this could be chalked up to some kind of aging illness; Mr. Davies would certainly have come into contact with unusual diseases in the course of his work throughout the 80s and 90s. This seems to be the most likely explanation, although we have no collaborative evidence either way.
