Biography : My Work

I've never been a cheerleader-type and I certainly wouldn't have gotten an award for school spirit. I'm a behind the scenes sort of person that does what needs to be done to the best of my ability. So when I was honored with the first corporate-wide employee of the month, no one was more surprised than me. Granted, logically I was a good choice. The new CEO symbolically chose a dedicated employee from R&D, a department that represents the future of the company. It was a wise move. Yet I like to believe that it was based on my work and that my job and my team is secure, something that is so nice to believe in these uncertain times

Any uncertainty that people were feeling was certainly erased during last Friday's "CEO Meet & Greet". I can understand why Steven Walsh was selected as a replacement for James Avery. He has a similar passion, a shared vision. His speech was inspiring and spoke to each of us in different ways. He understands, he lives, the motto of "A Wired Reality". If the goal of the event was to show solidarity and stability, then it was beyond successful. You could see it in the faces of the employees and the excitement of the board. I was watching my mentor and the other directors chat excitedly, as if the stress of the tech downturn and lack of direction were completely over. It is definitely the start of a new era and one that looks to be most exciting.
