Summary Strange green glow in the sky
Several reports were received regarding a strange green glow in the skies over southern Idaho in late August of this year.  Observers reports varied in their speculation of the event, yet the description and location remains consistant across the vast majority of reports.  The green glow appeared quite suddenly, remained in place for several hours and then disappered just as quickly as it had arrived.  An amateur astronomer reported that the cause was ionized gasses hitting the atmosphere, most likely from the movement of a satellite overhead.
