jasonpopesku: To answer some of your questions in your email, I agree that it would be wrong to take your friend to Metacortex. 
jasonpopesku: Has he given any clues as to how you can help him repair himself? 
jasonpopesku: How can your friend be an AI and yet still be human? Is he a robot of some kind? Or is he actually a real man?? 
jasonpopesku: Here's a test for you: Is your friend able to affect gravity? Can he make you hover?
